Terms & Conditions

This journey is organised by Liz Barrington, Natural Energy Therapist at Natural Body Healing and Tour Event Manager.  With your request to book onto this trip, you are confirming to us that you have read, understood and have accepted the information below which are our terms and conditions of participating.  

About Our Tour:

This trip is aimed specifically at encouraging relaxation, self-healing, self-expression and re-energising through group dance, movement, drumming, energy exercises, visualisation, meditation and other creative expressive techniques.  If there are any of these activities that you do not wish to participate in at any time throughout the trip, then there is no obligation on your part to do so.

Event participants will meet up in Marrakech, Morocco on Wednesday 16th October 2013.  Participants will be met and collected at Marrakech airport and taken to the hotel, unless arranged otherwise.  It is envisaged that most will fly in from various local airports in the UK and others will fly into Marrakech from Madrid, Spain.  Individuals are responsible for booking their own flights and travel insurance.

Our tour provides an opportunity for you to join others of like mind to explore your inner realms whilst discovering destinations that are different and perhaps depending on your own circumstances, may not be readily available or possible for you to experience alone.  

Please note that this trip does not include individual healing sessions.   However, we will provide the opportunity for group healing work so that we become able to re-connect with ourselves and with each other.  You will get as much out of the trip as you yourself put in, and therefore your active and positive participation within the group and in our activities will be crucial to your enjoyment, experience and inner-journey.  The level of healing and insight etc that you experience will depend upon yourself.

Naturally we cannot guarantee that you will receive healing on any level, but we do invite you to join us on an outward/inward journey of self-discovery, where you have an opportunity to open your mind and your heart, expand your awareness and take away with you profound life-changing insights and experiences.  No matter how far you travel, transformation will only occur when you are ready, because change can only come from ‘within’ … the most sacred site of all.

During the trip, you will also get to learn more about Morocco, Marrakech, its varying landscape, its culture, its history, the Moroccan desert and the Berber people themselves.  You’ll get to watch the desert sunrise and sunsets, to star gaze and to recharge your batteries.  Through your own efforts, you’ll get to re-discover your own inner-self whilst being in one of the most stunning, yet most peaceful environments on earth - the desert. 

This tour is not primarily a tourist package, although we will visit some tourist attractions throughout the week and we will also learn a little about the local cultures and traditions which will all add colour and depth to your experience whilst in Morocco. 

However, as always please expect the unexpected during your stay.  You can be sure that because we are in a country like Morocco, there will be some surprises and perhaps some delays.   The culture is very laid back and standards are different to perhaps what we would normally expect back in our own country.  There will be no printed menus; room service; perhaps timings may not always run to plan. 

Yet, you can be sure that there will be an abundance of music, dancing, great company and good local food.  Dietary requirements will be catered for wherever possible.  All of this will be wrapped up in traditional warm and welcoming Moroccan hospitality.  We are certain that you will fully enjoy this amazing experience with us if you just relax, enjoy the moment and go with the flow.

Tour Price:

Although we envisage this is unlikely, the tour price may be subject to change at any time.  This could be due to currency fluctuations, increase in airfares and ground arrangements and/or other unforeseen changes.  Therefore, the sooner payment is made to us; the earlier flights can be booked etc at the price at which it is advertised.

Everything mentioned below as INCLUDED, is incorporated in the published tour price. Items, services and any other arrangements NOT mentioned in the first list below will also NOT be included.

Cost of the Trip: GBP £699.00 (equivalent to approximately 825,00 Euros)

What’s INCLUDED in the price:

• 7 Night's Full-Board Accommodation (excluding alcohol)

  • Single room accommodation (unless otherwise requested) in comfortable and clean 2* and 3* hotel accommodation in Marrakech, Merzouga and Boumalene-du-Dades, all on Bed and Breakfast basis.

  • Overnight/One-night shared accommodation (max. of 6 pax) in tents in Desert Oasis camp.

• Lunch from menu (within an allowance of up to GBP £8 pppd) at assigned hotels and restaurants and Oasis camp.

• Dinner from menu at assigned hotels and restaurants and Oasis camp.

• Soft Drinks served during mealtimes throughout trip.

• Evening music entertainment in the desert and in select hotel restaurants.

• Meditation and visualisation exercises, Qi Gong Healing, Belly Dance and Drumming instruction (hire of drums included).

• Transfer to/from the Desert Oasis by camel over the desert dunes during the day and on a moonlit night.

• Mini-bus transfer between planned locations whilst in Morocco.

• English-speaking Guide throughout Trip.

• Trip to see the Large Mosque and entry into the Menara, the Madrasa (the ancient Koranic School).

• Visit to the Hammam (Turkish bath/massage) in Marrakech.

• Local City Guide in Marrakech.

• Entry to the Film Studios in Ouarzazate and other select tourist sites.
  

What’s NOT INCLUDED in the cost:

• Return Flights from/to your own local country to/from Marrakech in Morocco.

• Airport Transfers in your own local country.

• Travel/Holiday Insurance.

• Extra costs above lunch allowance for additional menu dishes.

• Alcohol.

• Bottled Water.

• Holiday money for souvenirs/gifts etc.

• Tips for the driver/Guides etc.

Registration:

A completed online Booking Form must be submitted for each participant along with an initial deposit.  Shortly upon receiving your form, we will email you a booking confirmation and your deposit receipt to confirm your place.

A trip itinerary and information pack will be provided once payment has been made IN FULL.  This information will be sent out approximately 5 - 6 weeks prior to the event, and we’ll explain how best to prepare for our trip and what to bring with you. 

Accommodation Facilities:

The hotels we’ve selected during the trip are clean and comfortable and are of 2* to 3* quality, with their own washing facilities.  We will endeavour to cater for one person per room unless otherwise requested.  However, should there be limited room availability at any time within a specific hotel which may be possible in Marrakech at this time of year; you may be asked to share with one other trip participant.  In that situation, we will make every effort to find an appropriate roommate, but we cannot be held responsible for this suitability.

Please note that in the Oasis camp in the desert, the facilities are very limited, indeed there will be no shower facilities.  In the camp, there will be erected tents, bedding, a camp fire, gas stoves, a kitchen tent and also a portable toilet.   We will be in the desert camp for approximately 2 days and we will be experiencing an ‘overnight’ in the Oasis camp for one night only, the magical night of the FULL MOON. 

Therefore it is recommended that you bring your own wet wipes, some toilet paper and water with you just in case washing facilities are not available.  Please be aware, we could also be sharing the camp facilities with other groups that may be visiting the Oasis camp.

Final Payment:

Final payment is due approximately 6 weeks prior to our tour departure.  If tour registration occurs within 6 weeks of our tour departure, final payment will be required IN FULL upon confirmation of your place.

Tour Cancellation:  

Please note that if you should cancel your place any time up to 6 weeks of departure, the initial booking deposit of just £99.00 is non-refundable and therefore we will refund the monies paid to date less the initial booking deposit.   

No refund is available for cancellations made by you or by any other person acting on behalf of you, for any reason, within 6 weeks prior to the date of our tour departure.

Cancelled Tour Programmes:

We reserve the right to cancel, postpone or reschedule any tour programme or any part of it, at any time and for any reason, if deemed absolutely necessary.

Minimum Group Numbers:  

The minimum number of passengers required for this tour is 10 participants.  Should the tour fall short of the minimum required number of tour participants, we reserve the right to cancel, postpone or alter the tour itinerary, reschedule, or calculate an up-charge as required.  These changes will occur before the final payment is due in which case you have the choice to accept or reject the changes before making your payment.

NB: We strongly advise that you do not pay for additional travel arrangements, any other items or services (e.g. medical expenses, injections, entry visa etc.) in preparation for the tour until we are able to confirm in writing that the minimum number of tour participants have been reached (within 60 days of tour departure). Otherwise you may not be able to recover these additional costs from your own pocket should the tour be cancelled.

Illness or Disability:

Anyone suffering from any illness or disability or undergoing treatment for any physical or medical condition must declare the true nature of such condition at the time of booking and make arrangements for the provision of any drugs or other course of treatment which may be required during the tour.

Vaccinations:  

Generally, vaccinations are not required if you are travelling to Morocco from the UK or from Europe however, please check with your doctor for current vaccination requirements and recommendations.  As Therapists, we would recommend the alternative and safe use of natural homeopathic remedies instead.

Insurance:  

Travel insurance is compulsory because many airlines require your policy details prior to booking flights.  Please ensure that you take out essential travel insurance to protect yourself from losing your money due to unforeseen circumstances that could lead to cancellation.  Travel insurance companies usually include limitations or conditions within their cancellation policy, so please read your insurance brochure carefully to ensure you that you fully understand your policy.

Passport and Visa:  

A passport of minimum 6 months’ duration is usually required to travel internationally. Although not required for British and Spanish citizens, an entry visa may also be required depending on your nationality.  Therefore if you are unsure, please contact the Moroccan Embassy in your country, for further details.

All reservations and travel arrangements are managed by Liz Barrington, as the Event Organiser.  Liz Barrington is not to be held responsible for any loss or damage to baggage or property, injury, illness, accident, cancellations, amendments to itinerary, delays, acts of God, unforeseen circumstances, error, or negligence of any person, strikes, civil disturbances or any other disturbances of any kind which interfere with or add cost to the services requested.

Liz Barrington will make every effort to provide the most up-to-date information and the best travel arrangements possible. However, Liz Barrington will not be liable for any dissatisfaction with accommodation or services experienced by any client.  Liz Barrington reserves the right to cancel the tour at any time and for any reason.  Your own personal Travel Insurance is required. Any unresolved disputes arising out of these tours will be settled in the English courts.  

All prices quoted are correct at the time of printing or advertising, but are subject to change based on circumstances beyond our control, including, but not limited to major airline fare increases, tax increases, international currency fluctuations etc.  Acting only as an organiser to arrange these services for you, Liz Barrington passes total responsibility for these changes through to the service providers.
